How it works
Taxiritje.nl is a Dutch taxi service that works with prices agreed in advance instead of a meter. You book online, pay online and travel door to door with a licensed driver who knows your details before you get in.
Below you can see exactly what happens at each step, what is included in the price and how changes, invoices and cancellations work.
See your fixed price
1. Enter your journey
Type your pick-up address and destination and pick them from the suggestions. For a regular address we need the street, house number and postcode; for an airport, terminal or central station the name is enough. Then choose the date, time and number of passengers.
2. See one fixed price
We calculate the actual driving route and show a single total price for the whole taxi, not per person. Luggage, tolls, terminal parking and waiting time are included. Adding a stop, extra passengers or a minibus updates the price immediately, before you commit to anything.
3. Add your details and pay
You fill in your name, email address and mobile number, the number of suitcases and — for airport rides — your flight number. Payment is handled online by card, iDEAL or Bancontact. You immediately receive a confirmation email with the booking number and the fixed price.
4. Your ride is planned and driven
- We offer the ride to our network of licensed Dutch taxi drivers; the first suitable driver takes it.
- You receive a confirmation once the ride is scheduled and can follow the status in your account.
- The driver arrives at the agreed time at the exact address, and has your name and phone number.
- From an airport we track your flight; a delay moves the pick-up automatically.
Waiting time, changes and cancellation
- Airport rides: 80 minutes of free waiting time after landing.
- Other rides: 15 minutes of free waiting time at the pick-up address.
- Change or cancel free of charge up to 24 hours before pick-up in your account.
- Within 24 hours: call +31 85 060 7086 and we will arrange it with the driver.
- A price difference caused by a change is paid or refunded online, never in the car.
Invoices and business travel
Every ride can be invoiced with Dutch VAT. You add your company name, address and VAT number in your account and download the invoice as a PDF. For companies that travel regularly we also offer monthly collective invoicing.
