What does a taxi in Utrecht cost?

Every journey from Utrecht has one fixed price per taxi, not per person. The amount follows from the route between your exact pick-up address and your destination, and it covers luggage, tolls, airport parking and waiting time. There is no taximeter and no surcharge at night, at the weekend or on public holidays. One to four passengers travel in a saloon or estate car; five to eight passengers travel in a minibus at the fixed minibus price.

Your price from Utrecht stays fixed

Between 07:00 and 09:30 and between 16:00 and 18:30 we plan a wider pick-up window. Traffic never changes your price: the fare is locked in when you book.

Booking a taxi in Utrecht: reservation and return trip

Enter the pick-up address with house number and postcode, then your destination; for an airport the terminal and flight number are enough. Reservations close three hours before pick-up. A return trip goes into the same booking, and extra stops along the way can be added while booking. You can change or cancel online up to 24 hours before pick-up; within 24 hours call 085 060 7086.

Frequently asked questions

Is the price per taxi or per person?

Per taxi. Up to four passengers pay the standard fixed price; from five passengers the fixed minibus price applies.

What happens if my flight is delayed?

We track your flight number and follow the actual landing time, with up to 80 minutes of free waiting time at the airport. Regular pick-ups include 15 minutes.

How far in advance should I book?

Book online at least 3 hours before pick-up. We recommend booking at least 24 hours ahead; this is advice, not an extra booking requirement. For early flights, groups and busy periods, book as soon as your plans are known.
