Taxi to a train station
A station transfer is a short ride with a hard deadline, which is exactly the combination that goes wrong when you leave it to chance on the day.
Book it in advance and the driver is at your door with the train time already accounted for.
Planning the timing
- Be at the station 10 minutes before a domestic train, 30 for an international one.
- Add a margin for rush hour between 07:00–09:00 and 16:00–19:00.
- Tell us the train number so we plan around it.
- For a pick-up at the station, 15 minutes of free waiting time applies.
Where the driver meets you
At most stations the driver waits at the official taxi rank; at larger stations we name a specific pick-up point in your confirmation email, along with the driver's phone number. For a pick-up at your home address, no house number can be skipped: the driver needs the exact door.
When a station taxi is worth it
- Early trains before local buses start running.
- Late arrivals after regional services have stopped.
- Heavy luggage you would rather not carry up a platform ramp.
- Travelling with children or with reduced mobility.
- A village or business park with no direct connection.
